TURN BACK AND SEE
Can you see a flower crushed and dried?
It's none else other than me.
You know what-
I was a flower when reached your hands
Bearing the pain of detachment from the plant
You put fragrance on it
Promised to keep it safe in your book
You gave a ray of hope
Sprinkled water on it
And gave life to it
Few days you turned the pages
Just to see the beauty of it
Then you turned the pages
Just to enjoy the beauty of it
Didn't you know that there is thorns in the stalk
It pricked only when it felt unsafe
You stopped seeing the beauty
Started seeing only the thorns
You crushed and dried me
And threw me at a lonely place
Just turn back and see
You will see the crushed dry flower
Seeking your hand still with a smile.
